Best Drummer of ALL TIME is back on stage!!
Neil Peart...one of my FAVORITE drummers and, thought to be, one of the greatest drummers in history is currently on tour with his band, Rush. Rush is a progressive/hard rock band that has been around since the early '70s. Rush is comprised of Alex Lifeson(guitar), Geddy Lee(bass/keyboards/vocals), and Neil Peart(drums). Recently, they have announced their Time Machine tour and have now started their tour. Rush is an extremely successful rock band, but to not give most credit to Neil Peart is a sin. Neil Peart is not only the drummer, but also the main song writer for this triumphant rock trio. He is a once in a lifetime talent and is the most astonishing musician to watch. I have had the honor to see Neil Peart in action twice, and am seeing him a third time at Madison Square Garden on April 10th. I suggest to all aspiring drummers to watch him play at least once in their lifetime because it is truly a gift. Whether he's playing his prime, sharp DW drum kit, or his electronic drums, or even his cowbells, he is a gift to world of music. Check out his drum solo!!

Great Talent!
This guy has some serious talent! I've been following his videos and keeping track of him through twitter and YouTube. I am extremely envious. His drum sets are amazing, as well as his talent and ability to play the drums. In this video, he is rockin' a Premier Signia drum kit, which is an old kit that is not manufactured anymore, but it sounds fantastic. The snare drum is a custom built snare drum that he built himself. It has a nice gold finish and it has a deep frame. That drum sounds amazing! If I were to recommend a type of snare drum, that drum would be it. I am a huge fan of deep framed snare drums, due to the nice "punch" sound it gives. The cymbals look like Sabian Prototypes, which are pretty rare in the drum world, but they are fantastic. They have a very nice splashy sound, which is very important for cymbals. The resonance of these cymbals is also profound. Great resonance! I know that this guy is in a band right now that I have come to be quite interested in. They are called The Relay Company. I would definitely keep a look out for this guy because he could be the next big thing in alternative music, as far as drummers go.
